Joyce/Dayton Grand Prix!
The first annual Grand Prix slot car race was held Tuesday, May 14th at a local Hobby Shop.
Our Joyce team competed in racing 1/32 scale and HO scale slot cars. While racers focused on getting the fastest laps and the fewest crashes, the rest of the group served as "Pit Crew" re-setting cars on the track after crashes.
In between wings and slices of pizza, the racers kept the Pit Crew busy. As competition heated up, cars were spinning out and crashing at the tight curves. In the final race, one of our Application Engineers claimed victory with the best time and most laps. A second driver collected the prestigious skunk award for clocking the most crashes.
A miniature pile of debris was swept from the track, and we vowed to compete again another day.
Nice job everyone!
